I have come back here four times just to look at that picture...I am awonderin' if that is actually how you looked when the first go through was complete. I love the picture, there is so much expressed in the eyes.
walking man...I hope I didn't look like that after the first draft, though I'm sure it was scary :) Though I've tied her to a rejection letter, her expression is something much more. Not grief. Not really fear. I'm not sure what it is.
Marilyn...thank you for being such a support through it all:)
D...*mwah* love ya and you *must* make me one of those in a few weeks :)
Pam...yum...I've never had a dragonfly.
My recipe is probably a snooze, but it's still my absolute favorite:
Frozen Grasshopper 3/4 oz. green creme de menthe 3/4 oz. white creme de cacao 2 cups vanilla ice cream
If you want to make it a drunk grasshopper, add 3/4 oz vodka (mine have always been sober)

Congrats, L.A.--it's an enormous, awe-inspiring accomplishment every time. I hope you celebrate this weekend in whatever way makes you happiest :).
Cheers to you, my beautiful talented Sister!
May your books be many and your critics be few!
Chocolate Martini
1 1/2 oz Vanilla Vodka
1 oz Creme De Cacao or Godiva Liqueur
Shake with ice and strain into glass
Garnish with a cherry
Past the lips, over the tongue.....
Cyber-Cheers! D
Woo Hoo! I sent my readers over here to give you a cyber-margarita even before I knew we were supposed to bring drinks. Here's my contribution:
Dragonfly:
Over a tall glass of ice cubes, pour a shot (or two) of gin, fill glass with ginger ale.
And, before I forget, CONGRATULATIONS!!! Woo Hoo!!! :)
Okay...these drink recipes are making me thirsty.

The End... and also the beginning - not of rejection letters, but of a hopeful journey for your novel.
Good luck, L.A.! :-)
